i want to sleep for 2 years and wake up with a degree, an apartment and money in the bank.
So many teenagers feel frusturated from life because we were told since day one not to be like everybody else and follow your dreams and when you do, people aren’t please with you and that creates frustration, in which in wikipedia means is “a feeling you get due to non-fulfillment of a desire, need or urge”.
And as a teenager you have 100000 dreams and your urges/fantasies sometimes gets confused with your needs/dreams by society or your parents or “friends”,
and while you’re still confused about if it’s just a fantasy in your mind or your actual dream, you are told by society that it is a fantasy but your heart yells that it isn’t. You are told by your parents you should “stop with the games” and “that’s a silly dream” but also “you can do everything” and “follow your heart”.
And while that’s happening you try to get focused on the things you really want and really need, (and not the “silly stuff” your parents try to convince you that they’re silly) and you try to figure out for yourself what these things are, because your parents always said “think for yourself”, but you have no car to get there or money to buy this or money to do that, beacause in reality - and that is the sad truth - money controls the world instead of humans or love or peace. It’s in your human nature to please everybody and that everybody will feel good, and that’s a good thing - you should fix things that are broken. But there are people who don’t wanna be fixed and that’s their problem.
